James Breiner es consultor bilingüe inglés-español con especialidades en medios digitales, innovación y emprendimiento.

Anteriormente, fue co-director del máster en Periodismo Económico Global de la Universidad de Tsinghua en Beijing, China.

Como becario del Knight International Journalism Fellowship lanzó y dirigió el Centro de Formación en Periodismo Digital en la Universidad de Guadalajara, México. Antes de su carrera como docente universitario, Breiner tenía una trayectoria profesional muy amplia, principalmente en medios económicos, como reportero, editor y finalmente director general de Baltimore Business Journal.

Su periodismo de investigación recibió premios de la American City Business Journals, Association of Area Business Publications y el Society of Professional Journalists. Tiene maestría en literatura inglesa, University of Connecticut, y licenciatura en literatura inglesa, College of Wooster.

James Breiner is an English-Spanish bilingual consultant who specializes in digital media, innovation and entrepreneurship.

Previously, he was co-director of the Master’s program in Global Economic Journalism at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.

As a Knight International Journalism Fellow he launched and directed the Digital Journalism Training Center at the University of Guadalajara, Mexico. Before becoming a university professor, Breiner had an extensive professional career primarily in economic media, as a reporter, editor and the general manager of the Baltimore Business Journal.

His investigative journalism received awards from the American City Business Journals, Association of Area Business Publications and the Society of Professional Journalists. He holds a Master’s degree in English literature from the University of Connecticut and a Bachelor’s degree in English literature from the College of Wooster.
